Gendell Gallery and its Director Adam Gendell is a private gallery / private dealer located in San Francisco, California. The gallery is focused on 20th century vintage photographs as well as established contemporary photography.

Dealing in both the secondary and primary photography markets, Gendell Gallery places an emphasis on 20th century figurative & classic portraiture, social-documentary, pictorialism, and coming-of-age / children in photography. These themes are also highlighted on the galleries website in addition to special exhibitions by individual photographers, such as Dorothea Lange. (see home page for special exhibitions)

Working with both experienced collectors and those new to collecting photographs, the gallery typically recommends books from its gallery library to help broaden the collector's knowledge base.

Gendell Gallery works with private collectors, institutions, art advisors and art consultants. Gendell Gallery also provides consulting and appraisal services and accepts collector consignments of fine photographs.
